Sure, why not?

Are there requirements?

There are a few very simple ones; mostly to weed out those people who quit their comic almost immediately. Yes, we've had some who joined the site and then never updated.
[1] You need fifteen(15) comics.
[2] That's it.

Why join your site?

A bit more customization on your comic's page than other mass-hosting websites, plus we don't force ads on your page and profit from you being on our site. There is also a strong sense of community among the authors as we have lots of fun with the fans that found our little thread.

My comic isn't Gaia-themed

Finally! The Gaia theme of our comics was accidental. Since my own comic was Gaia themed (and the only comic when I made the site), it only attracted Gaian fans. Not being Gaia themed makes your comic stand out more among the others. Your comic is also more likely to prosper if it doesn't have other of STT's authors cameo-ing all the time.

Any Tips for starting a comic?

I strongly recommend you show your comic to strangers and ask for their opinion before having a grand opening.
